So, I saved it and read it a few times and to say the least I was intrigued, but it's a recipe for prune cake. And I'm not against prunes, I'm just not for them either. I mean I've had them, they taste fine, but I have no distinct longings one way or another and my husband much like the Marlboro Man (which is the Pioneer Woman's husband) would definitely say they are gross. So, I secretly snuck some prunes into the cart at the grocery store and decided I was going to make it. And let me just tell you, it's delicious. Think carrot cake, but not nearly so rich since there's no cream cheese icing. It's fantastic and of course Jake's eaten half the cake since yesterday and he asked me what are those things? He started guessing, raisins, dates, cherries and I simple responded dried plums. Which is true, right? So, I have officially changed the name from Grandma Iny's Prune Cake to Grandma Iny's Cake, since there's no sense in ruining a good thing right?
So, here are some pics and then you go click on the Pioneer Woman's recipe up there and make it yourself.

Thanks for sharing the websites. I have not looked at these before and now am "dying" to try some of the recipes. I will also give the prune cake a try.
Hi,
I tried to prune cake and really liked it but the topping didn't turn out. I cooked it too long but the cake was delicious on its own. Next time I will puree the prunes and be more careful with the topping.
